Time is the one luxury you cannot buy back, which is why more people now hand the details of their lives to a concierge. But the services behind that promise are very different: some are built for high net worth individuals, some for credit card customers and banks, and some specialise in one area, from travel to dining to tickets. We are a luxury concierge ourselves, so read this with that in mind. We have tried to be fair, comparing each service by focus, price, reach and how you reach them, and saying who each one suits best.
London. Part of Capital One since 2023
One of the first services to put a concierge in your pocket. Founded in London by Zia Yusuf and Alex Macdonald, Velocity Black pairs human experts with AI, so requests, upgrades and preferred rates are a tap away in the app. Capital One acquired the company in 2023. Best for: people who want to run everything from an app. Worth knowing: since the acquisition, check whether membership is open to you outside Capital One's customer base.

London, founded 2000
Founded in London in 2000 by Ben Elliot, Paul Drummond and Aaron Simpson, Quintessentially is one of the oldest names in the industry, with offices from New York and Miami to Dubai. In several countries it operates through local partners rather than one global operating model, so the experience can vary from market to market. Best for: frequent global travellers who want a pure concierge service. Worth knowing: the scale that gives it reach can feel less personal than a smaller team.

Offices: Dubai, Paris, London + Global Coverage
Founded in 2020, L'invité is a private members' club and 24/7 concierge in one. Each member has a dedicated lifestyle manager, reached through the L'invité app with typical replies in under 5 minutes. Membership also brings members only events, from intimate dinners to Grand Prix weekends, plus negotiated lifestyle privileges. Best for: CEOs, high net worth individuals and family offices who want a personalised, global lifestyle service and a global members' community, not just a booking service. Worth knowing: we are younger than the established names, but known for securing sold out venues and experiences.

Paris, founded 2007. Part of Accor
Founded in Paris in 2007 by David Amsellem and acquired by Accor in 2016, John Paul is a leader in corporate concierge. Banks, carmakers and luxury houses use its hundreds of concierges to look after their own customers, and it has handled requests as grand as renting a private Caribbean island. Best for: companies that want concierge as part of a loyalty programme. Worth knowing: it mainly works for businesses, so individuals usually reach it through a company they are already a customer of.

London, founded 2012. By invitation only
Knightsbridge Circle was founded in 2012 by Stuart McNeill, formerly of the American Express Black Card team. Members are looked after across 11 cities year round, including New York, Palm Beach, Miami, Los Angeles, Dubai and Singapore, with stories ranging from a vow renewal blessed by the Pope to a private dinner beside The Last Supper. Best for: wealthy individuals who want exclusivity. Worth knowing: the price and invitation only entry put it out of reach for most.

London. UK, Europe, UAE and North America
A London based team with more than a decade of experience, covering the UK, Central Europe, the UAE and North America. The Fixer is known for getting members in where others cannot: Paris Fashion Week, the Wimbledon final and sold out Premier League matches, alongside reservations, travel and home organisation. Best for: hard to get tickets and reservations. Worth knowing: a narrower focus than a full lifestyle and community offering.

London. Offices in New York, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai
A London listed company behind many of the concierge services included with premium bank accounts and credit cards. Ten runs lifestyle and travel services for banks and other partners from offices around the world, so most people meet Ten through their bank. Best for: people whose bank or card already includes a concierge. Worth knowing: service levels depend on your bank's programme, and you will not have a members' community of your own.

London, founded 2002
Founded in London in 2002, Innerplace is one of the city's longest running concierge companies. It is best known for London nightlife: tables at sought after restaurants, members' clubs, guest lists, parties, concerts and sporting events. Tiers range from Lifestyle to the top tier Red, plus Corporate packages for client entertainment and a short term Travel Club for visitors. Best for: Londoners who want the best tables, clubs and parties in the city. Worth knowing: its strength is London, so members who split their lives between cities may want broader coverage on the ground.
